Hunter/Jumper Trainer – North Texas Equestrian Center (NTEC) Location: Wylie, Texas
NTEC, a well-established and respected facility, is seeking a motivated and experienced Hunter/Jumper Trainer to join our dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
• Ride and train a variety of horses, including young and green horses.
• Teach quality lessons to a wide range of students (beginner through advanced).
• Represent NTEC at local and rated horse shows.
• Assist in daily operations as needed to support a smooth-running program.
Requirements:
• Strong foundation in hunter/jumper training and teaching. We do not require a massive show record and are willing to train the right person.
• Confident and capable in the saddle, particularly with young horses.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to handle the physical demands of the job.
• Able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
What We Offer:
• Opportunities to show and continue learning underneath a Grand Prix show jumper and dressage trainer.
• Access to high-quality horses and facilities. Trainers receive the opportunity to ride anything from Grand Prix prospects to seasoned schoolmasters.
• Salary plus commission-based pay structure.
• Temporary on-site housing may be available.
• Ability to bring your own horse.
• A track record of past trainers becoming international Grand Prix riders and ultimately moving on to run their own successful facilities.
• A great team of grooms, office managers, and assistant trainers.
We’re a hardworking, close-knit team that likes to keep things fun and lighthearted. The ideal candidate should have a good sense of humor, be easygoing, and able to roll with the punches in a lively barn environment. If you're passionate about horses, committed to professional growth, and eager to be part of a dynamic team, we’d love to hear from you.
