Bet The House is currently accepting applications for a Horse Groomer.
This is a serious position for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in their work and genuinely care about horses. We operate at a high professional standard, and consistency, accountability, and attention to detail are required.
This role is not suitable for anyone who struggles with attendance, motivation, or following expectations. Horses and their care always come first, and maintaining that standard is non-negotiable.
This is a Monday- Sunday (6am till job is done) job paid per horse. Sundays- stall cleaning and feeding.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough grooming routines, including brushing, hoof cleaning, mane and tail care to keep horses clean and comfortable Assist with feeding schedules, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration for each horse Monitor horses’ health by observing behavior, checking for injuries or signs of illness, and reporting concerns promptly Maintain clean and safe stables, paddocks, and surrounding areas to promote a healthy environment Handle horses safely during daily routines, demonstrating animal husbandry skills and proper handling techniques. Cleaning water buckets and corner feeders daily Preparing horses for training and daily routines Stall cleaning General barn and facility upkeep Requirements
Prior experience with harness horses is desired. 7 Days a week is required. The property includes a well-maintained training track suitable for daily conditioning, speed work, and schooling. The track surface is regularly groomed to ensure consistent footing and optimal safety for both horses and drivers.
Our facility features ample barn space with well-ventilated stalls, wash areas, tack storage, and easy access to training areas. Horses have access to paddocks for turnout, allowing them time to relax and recover between training sessions.
Located in a quiet rural setting, the farm provides a focused training environment while still remaining accessible for horsemen hauling in to train or qualify.
