Located on 38 acres of attractive fields and woodlands, the rural property is surrounded by conservation land. The farm manager is a key position, and comes with free housing. This position is essential to the successful operation of this non-profit organization that is focused on improving the lives of clients with disabilities. Overview: The overarching responsibility of this position is to provide a first-class environment for our therapy horses. Only healthy, happy horses can perform well in the programs. Responsibilities: The farm manager is responsible for quality pasture, weed, insect, manure and arena management. Other horse-related duties include morning feeding and hay quality control. Maintenance of buildings, fencing, equipment, tools and vehicles is also included. Requirements: ● Minimum of 2 yrs of farm operations or agricultural experience ● Comfortable around large animals ● Proficiency in operating farm machinery, vehicles and power tools ● Computer skills ● Valid driver’s license ● Good organizational and planning skills ● Basic carpentry skills are highly desirable Competitive salary, health benefits and generous paid time off.
