We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, a good communicator, self-motivated with a strong work ethic to join our barn family.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, general animal care, grooming, turn in/turn out, providing supplements/medications, feed, hay, water, cleaning run-ins daily, stacking hay, operating tractor, cleaning tack, general minor farm maintenance and cleaning, inventory of supplies. Weekdays and weekends, morning and afternoon shifts.
Must be dependable - rain, snow, or shine - horses need care regardless of weather or day of the week.
Must have horse care experience and knowledge. We have a range of horses from young to old, and several livestock pets. This is not a riding job.
All workers are W-2, paid hourly, have sick leave and receive bonuses. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and speak English.
Requirements
• Must be willing to work with others and be able to work independently • Must have a reliable source of transportation • Must be timely and reliable • Must be physically fit and have stamina - able to lift 50+ lbs and spend a lot of time on your feet and moving • Morning, afternoon, weekend and holiday availability required • Must have experience with care of horses and/or livestock • Must be willing to operate farm equipment
