Are you ready for a summer of amazing experiences and friendships that will last a lifetime? Excited about gaining more experience teaching riding to children and caring for horses? Consider applying to join our team of fun-loving, responsible and dedicated counselors and experience a true sense of purpose and value this summer!
Camp Walden, a traditional summer overnight camp for girls in Denmark, ME, is searching for a Horseback Riding Instructor. We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible and spirited individuals who are excited to serve as coaches and role models for our campers ages 8-15.
One of the many daily activities that campers participate in at Walden is the opportunity to learn to horseback ride and learn to take care of our horses. Our program instructs campers in the English style of Riding. Riding is consistently one of the most popular activities at Walden and our campers range from beginners through advanced riders. We are searching for an individual who loves working with children and loves taking care of horses. Our instructors work together to teach our campers, plan the program and take care of the horses and barn. While at camp you will spend most of every day teaching up at Ride. Our female staff can live with campers in the cabins and are an integral part of our close community. Candidates should have experience riding, instructing and have experience or a love for working with children.
