You will be caring for the horses Weds-Sunday. Work as a team with other grooms/Head Groom during the week and by yourself on Saturday & Sunday. We have a lot of hair at this barn. Must love making horse look and feel beautiful!
Keeps horses in show shape cleanliness, bathing after workouts, grooming, hand walking, turn out, braiding, vetting, wrapping and tacking/untacking, clean tack, place grooming materials in location for the Cleaners to clean and disinfect when necessary, FEEDS ALL Meals/Grain on Saturday and Sunday; (none during the week), fill hay nets, fill hay balls, makes sure the nets and balls are full before leaving at the end of the day, fills in when Head Groom is absent, helps assist vet and farrier, whatever else the owner/barn manager needs help with, reports to Head Groom
Requirements
All employees: Help fellow employees when needed and works as a team player Report repairs needed on maintenance board Report an emergency to owner Keeps barns and grounds clean and orderly at all times Notices any alarming behavior or injuries and reports to the owner. If owner is not available, handles the situation and calls Loomis Basin if necessary. Strives for excellence in every moment and open to professional development Understands this is a dynamic barn with frequent changes Understands that first impressions are everything with the way our horses and barn looks to clients.
