We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Livery Yard Manager to join our professional equestrian facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our busy yard operations and ensuring the highest standards of horse care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily running of the livery yard, including staff management and yard operations
  • Ensure exceptional care for all horses on the premises, including feeding, turnout, exercise and all general welfare
  • Manage client relationships and maintain clear communication with horse owners
  • Coordinate farrier, veterinary, and other professional visits
  • Oversee stable and paddock maintenance
  • Manage yard supplies, including feed, bedding, and equipment
  • Create and maintain staff rotas
  • Implement and maintain health and safety protocols
  • Accompany our clients to local competitions using our 3.5 tonne lorry -Teaching livery clients

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar management role within the equestrian industry
  • Full UK driving licence and feel confident to drive a 3.5 tonne lorry
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of horse care, welfare, and yard management
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication skills
  • An experienced rider able to ride and lunge a variety of horses
  • Be able to clip/pull to a high level

Working days/hours include: Tues, Wed, Fri 8.30am-6pm and Sat and Sun 7.30am-5pm. One hour lunch break each day. 28 days annual paid holiday. The chance to continue with your own training towards BHS assessments. Self contained apartment available in a shared staff house. Sorry but no pets.
