About the Role: We’re looking for an Equine Centre Technician to join our Animal Sciences team at Shuttleworth College. You’ll play a key role in the care of our horses, the smooth running of the Equine Unit, and support for student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily horse care and husbandry
Exercising and riding horses
Supporting teaching staff and learners
Assisting with veterinary care and health & safety
Maintaining facilities and records
Providing cover for events and holiday periods
About You:
Level 3 in Horse Management and BHS Stage 1 (or willingness to work towards it)
GCSEs in English and Maths
Hands-on equine experience
Confident in riding and horse care
Friendly, reliable, and flexible approach
Able to work early mornings, weekends, bank holidays
Please note: Interviews will be held on 24 April 2025, and include a riding assessment (13-stone weight limit applies).
