• Oversee stable management for the Club stables • Prepare and manage an approved annual budget for the Stable Management Section with an objective to maximize economies of scales in all aspects of running stables, including purchasing feed, fodder and supplies • Manage all personnel employed in stable management according to the standards laid down by the Club. • Plan and ensure efficient use of manpower for daily operations and ensure that all staff is adequately trained for his/her responsibilities • Generally upgrade the professionalism of staff in the Stable Management Section. • Ensure the welfare of all horses and establish a system to regularly examine the health and soundness of horses and to treat them in house when appropriate and or assist in lining up a vet as necessary. • Ensure that all horses have eaten and drunk sufficient water during the night and that feed bins and water buckets are removed from each stable and cleaned daily. • Ensure that all horses are taken out for exercises by either the owner or a staff member. • Monitor the delivery, quality control, consumption and disposal of wood shavings and ensure that daily feed ration for each horse is provided as requested by the owner. • Ensure that feed ration in excess of the Club’s normal set amount are billed to the owners at the end of each month. • Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements for all stable management matters • Optimise use of financial and facility resources of the Stable Management Section. • Ensure the financial performance of the Stable Management Section, as defined in a business plan and budget • Address member feedback and/or complaints regarding any aspect of stable management and to achieve the highest standard of the member/customer satisfaction in all areas • Manage all ad-hoc projects as and when necessary

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience as a Stable Supervisor/Assistant Stable Manager. Possess a minimum Stage 4 Stable Management Certificate and AI qualification Good interpersonal and communication skills with members, staff and management Experience in staff management to an efficient and high standard
