Connemara Pony Stud Farm and Equine Clinic in Connemara in the west of Ireland requires a Rider for bringing on Connemara Performance Ponies and help in caring for animals and carrying out all yard duties. Availability from early now.
All normal yard duties, mucking out, bedding down, feeding hay, general yard duties etc.
If you have a drivers license it’s a plus, but must be able to drive a quad. Experience required Handling Horses / Ponies, young stock, mares and stallions.
Must be 25 or over for Insurance purpose , be able to work off their own initiative and also as part of a team.
Must be able to keep the yard clean and tidy to a high standard. Good people skills. No time wasters please . Be punctual.
Must have a European passport to work in Ireland.

The place is beautiful, Connemara stole my heart, the ocean, the mountains the landscape, the castles, the music, the people, the food... About the job very nice, you get the opportunity to break the connemara ponies and turn them in a great jumping ponies, and what can be more pleasant than that when you are a horse lover? The trekking with the tourist is very interesting, you meet people from all over the world. And about my bosses, hard working people and very hospitality, they make feel like at home. I loved working at Diamonds!! Loads of fun with the girls, lovely trekking horses and the cheeky ponies! I'll definitely go back to beautiful Connemara. We were very well cared for and felt part of this hard working family!

I loved to work here! its very interesting job with many different ponies. All people are very nice and polite. Liam and Breege are hardworkers with heart on the right side. Always get paid on time. I have really good time in Diamonds equine centre❤️Will miss it there a lot!

I worked as a trail guide here. It was a great experience and I enjoyed it very much. You get to ride on the beach every day! Everyone is very patient and they explain everything to you so there cannot be any confusion. And they're very nice people, ready to help you with whatever you need. Safety is a priority (yours as well as the tourists'), but the trekking ponies are all very nice and quiet. I even got to ride some of the connemaras a little bit. And the place is simply one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland.

Our Connemara Pony Stud, A.I. Clinic and Competition Yard is situated in the heart of the home of the Connemara Pony.
We have 4 Connemara Stallions here at Stud and we offer a drop and collect service for mares in the Breeding Season, keeping them on livery.
Our Competition ponies go the world over, we breed, source, train, produce and compete Connemara Performance ponies. Our ponies are trained to a high standard before we find them a new home.
We are situated 5km from the Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey is also nearby. Our nearby town Clifden is 20 minutes drive. The Sea is nearby, lots of lovely beaches and mountains for that outdoor enthusiast.
