Bowness Stud & Watershed Farm is seeking two dedicated and passionate Foaling Attendants to join our team for the upcoming foaling season (start 21st July 2025 through to the end of November 2025). Ongoing employment may be provided beyond November 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and dynamic thoroughbred breeding operation, where you will gain hands-on experience and develop a broad range of equine skills while assisting in the safe arrival of the next generation of racehorses.

Role Responsibilities:

Monitor foaling alarms and oversee pregnant mares on a rotational schedule with the other attendant.

Provide immediate post-foaling care, including necessary treatments for the mare and neonatal care for the foal.

Maintain accurate records of foalings, treatments, and any health observations.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in foaling and neonatal care preferred but not essential—training can be provided for the right candidate.

A strong sense of responsibility, patience, and attention to detail.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as foaling is unpredictable.

A team player with a genuine passion for horse care and welfare.
