My name is Emily, I grew up in Lancaster Pennsylvania, where I was first introduced to the equestrian world. I started riding at around 10 years old and continued on, up to the present day. See below for more on my experience!Qualifications

Duties of Current Occupation
Working Student Position: Assist in desensitizing green/young horses by exercising 2 - 3 horses per day (riding and groundwork), daily feeding, administered medications, cleaned and refilled waters, picked stalls, cleaned tack, groomed (shows/ gen.)
Equine Work Experience
I assisted in the management of a lesson barn by maintaining proper cleanliness of the grounds, general care of the horses, tacked and untacked prior and post lessons for students, as well as instructed lessons and, guided guests on trail rides. For more on equine experience, see above.
Specialities
I have worked with horses, aged 1 year to 30 years. My main speciality was riding/ working green horses, including different forms of groundwork, desensitization, introduced horses to jumping and furthered their progress, basics of dressage, and showed horses for sale.
Type of Ride Work
I have ridden a variety of breeds including, Arabians, draft crosses, and thoroughbreds. I am well versed in flatwork and have about 3 years experience in dressage and jumping, specifically.
Competition Details
I have competed in lower level shows to introduce young/greener horses to a show setting. I have also served as a crew member/ competition groom for two Arabian endurance races, in Maine and Pennsylvania.
