Duties of Current Occupation

I have been responsible for cleaning stalls, feeding/turning out horses, riding, jumping, and doing some western riding. I have medicated horses with oral meds and IM injections.

Equine Work Experience

I have taken hunter/jumper lessons, eventing and basic dressage lessons. In the hunter world I have competed up to 2’9” at local/schooling shows but I have yet to compete at a recognized show. I have competed in a horse trail at the starter level as well as schooled beginner novice and a few novice cross country jumps. I have owned several green or “problem’ horses then I sold most of them once they were more marketable. I would prefer a position with opportunities to keep learning and growing but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

Specialities

I have worked with several different breeds/types of horses, ranging from fresh off the track ottbs to Percherons. I have worked with foals as well as stallions. I have started half a dozen horses under saddle. I am educated in getting horses show ready. I work well by myself or in a team while I thrive in a routine, I can just as easily go with the flow.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden mainly young, green, and problem horses. I have been lucky enough to restart several ottbs and took most of them to their first show before selling them. I have also assisted with the first rides on my trainer's ponies and have started half a dozen horses under saddle. I have done hunter, jumpers, eventing, low-level dressage, and some gymkhana events.

Competition Details

I have competed at hundreds of local and low level shows across Michigan.
