Qualifications

I don’t have formal equine-related qualifications yet. I have an Associate’s degree in Social Sciences and another in Paralegal Legal Assistance with a Pre-Law Certificate. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s in Philosophy, but I have gained extensive practical horse experience through lessons, barn work, and caring for my own horse.

Duties of Current Occupation

Experienced rider and barn assistant. Skilled in feeding, turnout, grooming, stall cleaning, and exercising horses. Own and care for my own horse, focusing on flatwork. Hardworking, reliable, and eager to gain further experience.

Equine Work Experience

I have been riding since age 13, starting with Western lessons and transitioning to English riding over the past few years. I’ve had lessons with multiple trainers throughout my riding journey, which has helped me develop a solid foundation and adaptability in different styles. I currently own and care for my own horse, focusing on flatwork at walk, trot, and canter for pleasure riding. I also have hands-on barn experience from working at Alpine Boarding Stables, where I assisted with feeding, grooming, mucking out stalls, turnout, and exercising horses. I am comfortable handling horses safely and enjoy learning new skills in a professional environment. My experience combines both riding and general horse care, and I am eager to continue gaining experience while contributing to a safe and well-run barn.

Specialities

Experience with turnout, grooming, feeding, and exercising horses. Haven’t worked with foals or stallions and haven’t led a team, but comfortable handling different kinds of horses.

Type of Ride Work

I have ridden a wide variety of horses, including Quarter Horses, Warmbloods, Thoroughbreds, Tennessee Walkers, Half-Lingers, Arabians, and Marwaris. I’ve had lessons with many different trainers from ages 13 to 20, which gave me experience with horses of various temperaments and styles. I mostly ride flatwork at walk, trot, and canter, and my own horse is a 6-year-old Thoroughbred.
