Seeking energetic, mature, responsible, hard worker who LOVES horses and is knowledgeable in all aspects of “life on the farm” while taking care of three horses on a family farm. Looking for person who enjoys nature, and being outdoors in quiet environment. Experience with horses and previous management a must. Must be self confident, knowledgeable, and capable of handling issues in owner’s absence. Horse responsibilities include monitoring feed rations, observe health fluctuations, administer medication, turn horses in and out, hold for farrier and vet, mucking stalls, maintaining clean and organized barn, exercising horses, plus bathing and grooming weekly. Knowledge of health emergencies and how to react in a particular situation. Must be organized, detailed, and self motivated. Farm responsibilities include maintain riding arena, repair fences, pick manure from paddocks, coordinate weed control, and maintain “show farm look.” Experience managing, and references required. Experience hauling horses. Seeking long term person. Salary and other benefits included. Five days a week (40 hours) with night check duties.

Adult experience managing people and barns. Must have previous sole charge experience. Draft horse experience is a plus. Wrapping legs, lameness, laminitis, and equine metabolic knowledge.
