We have an opening for a groom who is interested in prepping young horses for our trainer. Must be comfortable handling (and learning to) youngsters from 2-5 years old. You will get hands on training so you are safe and confident. We welcome you bringing your own horse to improve your riding skills, as well as your horses training. Come out for a paid working interview and see what the position entails and how much fun we have. We can pick you up at the airport and you can stay in on the farm to interview.
Minimum ability: Must be comfortable handling, grooming, tacking, mane pulling, bathing, clipping, trimming, tack cleaning and horse laundry. Daily team barn work, including mucking, feeding, turn-in/out etc in exchange for salary, minimum of 2 lessons a week, housing, board for your own horse, and trailering/coaching at local events.
Min age 18yrs with a high school diploma or equivalent, a driver's license, and prior verifiable grooming experience.

You must be confident, empathetic horseman and have a positive attitude both on the ground and while mounted. Must be 18 years old with a driver's license. A minimum of a high school diploma.

Private bedroom in large furnished apartment on farm. Share bath/kitchen/living and laundry areas with up to 5 others. Bedrooms furnished, kitchen suppiles stocked including Dishwasher, Internet, and private pantry for each student. Utilities/DirectTV paid except long distance phone. No cats, but dogs may be possible if they are housebroken, well behaved and trained to listen to you. There is a pet deposit required if you bring a dog. (apartment pictures attached)

Lessons 2x week, housing for you, board for one horse (that you will ride daily) and a weekly salary.
