The Assistant Barn Manager reports directly to the Barn Manager, and is responsible for working with the Head Trainer/Program Director and Assistant Trainers, as well as the Facility Manager and barn staff, to assure the optimal health, condition, and care of all horses in the barn. Our ideal candidate would also teach beginner through novice riding lessons, in our very structured lesson program, and being a full team player at Meadowbrook! (We have a lesson curriculum to follow and are happy to train people to teach as long as they have a desire and aptitude!)

· Responsible for daily horse care, including feed, hay, watering, and other chores. · Implements all aspects of horse care and welfare, including feed, nutrition, vaccination, worming, dental and other health maintenance programs; administers supplements, medications and injections (IM/IV); and identifies and responds to illnesses and injuries, under supervision of Barn Manager. · Assists veterinarian, dentist, and farrier, including overseeing routine vet, farrier and dentist appointments. · Drives trailer (or willing to learn) · Lunging and hand-walk horses · Assist with grooming, mane pulling and body clipping · Night-check three times per week Please send your resume via email to resume@meadowbrookstables.org

Compensation Package: This is a full-time, hourly position that does not provide housing or a horse stall. A typical work week is 5 days/40 hours, and is eligible for overtime pay if additional hours are worked. Compensation Package: Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of $17.00 to $22.00. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; PTO at 10 days per year for the first two years, and 15 days per year thereafter; participation in Meadowbrook’s 403(b) retirement plan; and participation in professional development opportunities.

We offer riding and horsemanship lessons in hunters, hunt seat equitation, and jumpers to riders of all levels, ages 6 through adult. We also offer a range of summer camp programs, as well as boarding, leasing and showing opportunities.

The Stables is operated by Meadowbrook Foundation Inc., a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization with a charitable mission committed to education, character development, community, and stewardship.
