The Assistant Broodmare Manager will work directly with and under the direction of the Broodmare Manager and the COO, Dr. Modesty Burleson. The ideal candidate will possess a positive and energetic attitude and be able to work in a fast paced and diverse environment.
• Work Schedule: 6 day work week; 7am-4pm
Responsibilities: o Daily horse care for broodmares, foals, yearlings, and young horses o Assist in barn with feeding, grooming, cleaning stalls, and daily turnout o Assist with veterinary work and farrier o Maintain and update treatment sheets, medical records, and farrier schedule o Administer medications, assist with vaccinations, and bandage horses o Be involved with client communication, updating foal and young horse photos, record keeping and filing in the office o Maintain inventory and help order veterinary and barn supplies o Participate in teaching and organizing working students and veterinary externs
