Sole charge role at private barn in Steamboat Springs, CO. Must have experience, references, kindness, and gentle approach. Opportunity for someone with experience in a sole charge role. Must have riding experience, some dressage preferrable, and comfort with all types of horses. Must also be able to lift hay bales, 50-70lbs, on a regular basis.

Role involves full care - feeding, grooming, exercising, mucking, maintaining all horse areas. 7 horses ranging from 5 to 25 years old. 1 retired, 2 semi-retired, 4 with experience ranging from w/t/c to high level dressage. Opportunity to hire and manage second person for support if more experienced candidate able to focus on training / riding / showing (dressage) and family oriented lessons (primarily mom and son).

Property includes heated indoor arena and barn. 35+ acres with large pastures. 5 miles from ski town Steamboat Springs.

$15/hr for FT role with housing; $35/hr for FT role without housing.

Family friendly and able to pass a background check. Salary noted above is negotiable, experience dependent, assumes full time work. Opportunity for couple to assume and fill two roles across property management, horse care, training/riding, instruction and household support.
