Position Overview: We’re looking for a skilled and adaptable Farm Worker to help with all aspects of running the farm. The role will cover livestock care, machinery operation, general maintenance, and seasonal tasks. Tractor experience is essential; an HGV licence is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities: • Daily care and feeding of cattle, sheep, and horses. • Assisting with lambing, calving, and other livestock handling. • Tractor work — topping, mowing, feeding, muck spreading, and general fieldwork. • General farm maintenance — fencing, gate repairs, building upkeep. • Assisting with hay and silage making. • Safe operation of machinery and equipment. • Transporting livestock, feed, or materials (HGV work if licensed).
Qualifications & Skills: • Previous experience working on a livestock farm. • Confident handling cattle, sheep, and horses. • Tractor driving skills essential; telehandler experience desirable. • HGV licence an advantage • Ability to work outdoors in all weathers. • Practical, hands-on approach and ability to work independently.
