"Please dont apply if you dont live in Australia" We run a small competition yard 30 kms south west of Cooma in Southern NSW, Australia. We retrain TB's off the track and do some of our own breeding/producing for competition and sale. Usually there are about 4-5 horses in work at a time. We travel regularly to shows and events all over NSW. We are seeking a live-in experienced Groom/Rider for daily work at home and competition travel. Salary according to experience and self contained cottage available. Duties include feeding, grooming, mucking out, lunging, schooling, fitness work, travelling to competitions, washing, plaiting, basic first aid, cleaning gear and truck, arena maintenance, handling young horses and sole charge when necessary. You must be an experienced and capable rider with a focus on flatwork, and able to work/ride on your own. Reliability and organisational skills are necessary. Competition experience is desirable. Your OWN CAR is ESSENTIAL as we live 30kms from the nearest town. You MUST ALREADY RESIDE in Australia and speak good English. Hours are flexible and weekend work is required. We are a family owned sheep farm in Southern NSW near Cooma on the shores of Lake Eucumbene. I have previously evented up to 4 star level internationally and now retrain ex racehorses to event and breed/produce Sporthorses for sale. Also I am an EA Level 2 Eventing Specialist coach. I have about 4-6 horses in work at a time and they live out in paddocks all year round. I have a sand dressage and a large jumping arena for training and 6000 acres to ride over. Frequently we travel to shows and events throughout NSW and Victoria.
